The AMS Lab
| AMS offers its plastic extrusion laboratory, 'The Lab', to all customers for testing, development and even emergency manufacturing support. The plastics Lab allows Customers to utilize AMS inventory for trial purposes. Test your idea or your new polymer on our equipment. Full scale up services provided. We will run the extrusion equipment for you with nearly any plastic polymer you wish to extrude. UV testing, microscopic measuring, tensile testing, laser measurement etc. are all available for product analysis. Purchased time in The Lab can be applied towards a future purchase as well. |
The Lab is always outfitted with several extrusion lines, including:
1) 3D Filament Extrusion Line with 1.5" Extruder
2) 2 Roll Cast Film System with Dual Payoffs and Winder System & 1" Extruder
3) Blown Film Tower with 1" Extruder
4) Up to 3.5" Extruder
5) Tooling available - Numerous tubing dies, sheet dies, filament dies & more
6) Material Dryer, Water Chillers and Curing Oven
Pricing:
$2,000 per day (1 full day minimum) for on-site rental and product testing with AMS assistance with running, set up, and clean up assistance.
$1,200 per day (1 full day minimum) for quick product testing without your personnel on-site.
Availability:
The lab is typically available for rental Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. See the below calendar for current openings.
